Abbey Park is a great day out for the family with level tarmac pathways throughout the park making it ideal for scootering. The kids will love the large play area and pets corner and there is plenty of open space to kick a ball around or burn off some energy. CANALSIDE WALK

A visit to the canal-side is a must when visiting Leicestershire there are paved surfaced along the side of the canal as well as a public house that welcomes children (although a seat outside by the canal is much nicer) Serving tea, coffee and snacks makes it the perfect pit stop before continuing your walk.

LAKE

This is our top day out in Northamptonshire because the site simply has everything you could possibly need. Children will be entertained all day with the assault courses and the adventure playground. Adults can relax with a picnic or cook up some burgers at the BBQ area. Ideal opportunity to taking your bike/scooter along as there are  walking and cycling routes too- you wont be stuck for things to do here!

COUNTRY PARK

Barnwell Country Park is a really lovely way to spend a family day in the great outdoors! There is lots for children to do at the play area and plenty of yummy treats at the Country Park Shop, however we recommend packing up a picnic for the day. There is plenty of open space for kids to really burn off some energy and you must make sure you take a stroll/scoot along one of the parks 3 riverside circular trails.

This Country Park is perfect for a family day out whilst getting to know nature! The Park has won many awards including the ‘Green Flag Award’ and boasts a visitor centre, picnic facilities, play areas and The Orchard Cafe. We recommend The Waymarked Woodland Trail through Nunnery Wood which is on a level surface- great for scooting!

Please be aware before visiting Tretham Gardens that children under 5 years old are only permitted to bring scooters and bicycles in. The gardens make a lovely family fun day outdoors with so much to see and do including boat rides, miniture trains and maze! You will not be stuck for things to do at St Nicholas Park! Attractions include a fun park, mini golf, play area, skate park and outdoor pool. The gardens walks are the perfect backdrop for a picnic with stunning views of Warwick Castle in the background. The park is within easy reach of the town centre and Warwick Railway Station.

We love ‘curious days out’ as they give you a real experience of the town you’re visiting. taking the scooter along can just make the journey a little easier for small feet! The starting point of this tour is Eastgate in the town centre and children will love the medieval buildings. The first walk is 1.5 miles or you can take the extended walk for a further 0.75 miles which takes you along the banks of the River Avon.
